Oando Marketing Donates to 46 Charity Homes Nationwide

This initiative which is part of Oando Marketing’s Corporate Social Responsibility drive involved the donation of food, household items, gift items, equipments etc worth millions of naira to various charities nationwide after the major need of the selected charity homes have been identified. This is a yearly activity by the organisation which started in 2003 as part of organizations demonstration of its commitment to supporting the under privileged and also giving back to the society where it operates.

In 2008, Oando Marketing also positively affected the lives of several communities in the following ways:

1. Financial support towards the installation of the transformer at Rumuaparaeli (former Rumueli) community, Port Harcourt
2. Construction of borehole and storage tank project at Onne community, Port Harcourt
3. Financial support to the blind, Rilwan Abiodun Rahim at Society for the blind school, Lagos
4. Donation to International Women Society Day Nursery at Herbert Macaulay, Yaba, Lagos
5. 12 Secondary School scholarship payout for students at Bundu Ama and Onne community (8 students at Bundu Ama community and 4 students at Onne community).

Commenting on this gesture, Head Marketing, Oando Marketing, Mr. Michael Oshai said, “We acknowledge the needs of our host communities and this is one of the many support projects we embark on. Oando Marketing has enjoyed tremendous support from our host communities, and today we help to address widespread poverty and decline by supporting them in cash and kind.”
