General Manager, Information Technology & Asset Integrity
Idris Musa is the General Manager, Information Technology and Assets Integrity at Oando Energy Resources with overall responsibility for Information Technology, Operations Technology, and the Integrity of all Operations and Assets, both corporate and field.
Mr Musa is a British Computer Society Chartered IT professional; ICPM-US Certified Manager (a part of James Madison University College of Business) and Fellow of British Computer Society; with a background in Electrical Engineering, Innovation and Design Thinking and a passion for aligning business strategy with technology initiatives. He joined Oando Plc in 2007 and has held various management positions, including the Service Delivery Manager as well as the Group Head, Information Technology.
A business and technology executive with almost two decades of multifaceted experience in providing strategic direction and visionary leadership to corporate technology portfolio, Mr. Musa has orchestrated digital transformation projects that includes the implementation of numerous global quality control standards amongst others that saw Oando become the first Oil and Gas company in Africa to fully embrace Cloud ERP, and become ISO 27001 certified.
His hands-on ability to integrate technology with businesses has enabled him manage a technology portfolio of over $50m across Oando businesses in the delivery of end-to-end innovation while ensuring resilience.
Idris is also a Fellow of the Institute of Information Management (IIM-Africa) and a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, (SMIEEE), US. He also champions various social causes relating to poverty alleviation and care for the indigents. Idris is a member of The Aggregator Platform’s (TAP) Board of Trustees; a unique initiative powered by the #HumansOfOando (Oando employees, with a focus on supporting the realization of SDG2: Zero Hunger.
